October 9 – Saint John Leonardi

Blessed Redeemer, Saint John Leonardi (1541–1609) was a priest who was very active in ministry with a special concern for the youth, the hospitalized, and the imprisoned.  He formed a new congregation of priests in honor of the Blessed Mother to increase the fruits of this work.  I ask him to pray for the outreach ministries in which I’m involved, that through dedication and Your help, O Lord, my efforts will yield an abundant harvest.  Surround me with those who have the same calling.  Increase in all Christian ministries the number of people who get involved.  Bless outreach programs with sufficient laborers for the field.  Saint John, pray for us.  Amen.
