Saint-Martinian-the-Hermit.jpgLord Jesus, Saint Martinian the hermit was determined in remembering the consequences of sin. Help me to overcome the temptations of the world.  I want to be as determined as Saint Martinian the hermit was.  When he was being strongly tempted by a beautiful woman seducing him, he lit a fire and put his feet in it long enough to feel dread for the fires of Hell.  I offer up to You the areas of my life in which I am especially vulnerable to succumbing to Satan’s wiles.  Strengthen my resolve, O Lord.  Help me to keep You always in front of me, protecting me and making it clear the difference between sinful ways and Your ways.  Saint Martinian, pray for me.  Amen.
