Spirit of God, Saint Philip Neri was a priest whom the people nicknamed the “Saint of Joy” because You had gifted him with a special sense of humor. His smile went with him when he visited the sick and the imprisoned, and when he served pilgrims who traveled to Rome. I ask him to pray for my attitude. Help me, O Lord, to get rid of fear and negativity, which are the enemies of joy and humor, and teach me how to view situations through Your eyes and discover reasons to laugh more readily. Heal my wounds so that I may grow in humble confidence, which sets free the gift of humor within me. Saint Philip Neri, pray for me. Amen.
