Holy Spirit, Saint Clare lived a very mystical and spiritually powerful life. In her dying days, when she was unable to attend Mass, You brought the Mass to her by displaying it like a movie on her wall. Thus she is now the patron saint of television. I ask her to intercede for all people involved in this industry. Teach them to use this medium for the improvement of society by promoting good values, respect for life, and reverence for Judeo-Christian religions and their members. O Lord, let my conscience convict me of watching TV shows that promote anything that is not of You. Saint Clare, pray for us. Amen.

Precious Lord, Saint Lawrence protected the Church’s money from the Roman Empire by giving it to the poor. When the greedy prefect of Rome demanded the Church’s treasures, Saint Lawrence presented to him the poor and the sick, announcing, “This is the Church’s treasure!” I ask him to pray for me to learn how to use material goods only for Your glory. Guide me as I share what I’ve stored up so that I make good decisions about where it should go. Help me to love the needy more than I love money and give me eyes to see all Your people as precious gems in Your crown of glory. Saint Lawrence, pray for me. Amen.
Dear Savior Jesus Christ, Saint Romanus was a Roman soldier who was impressed by the sanctity of Saint Lawrence when the latter refused to turn over the Church’s treasury to the empire. As he watched Saint Lawrence endure his punishment with courage and love for his enemies, he asked to be baptized into the same faith. Saint Romanus, pray for the students in religious education classes, and for the candidates and catechumens of RCIA programs. O Lord, bless what they learn, and inspire them with an increased hunger to know You and become full participants in the Church community. Saint Romanus, pray for us. Amen.
O Victorious Lord, Saint Dominic, founder of the Dominican Order, worked hard to rescue people from the heresies in which they trusted, because he felt great pity for them. When they failed to accept the truth, he grew discouraged, but the Blessed Mother appeared to him in a vision. She showed him a garland of roses, asked him to pray the Rosary daily, and directed him to teach this prayer to others. Through the Rosary, the heresies were conquered. I ask him to pray with her now for the victories I need over the problems in my life. Saint Dominic, join me whenever I pray the Rosary and carry my prayers to Heaven. Amen.
O Humble Jesus, Saint Cajetan formed a society devoted to helping the sick and the poor. Although his wealthy relatives criticized him for it, he deliberately sought out the needy and chose to care for the people who had the most disgusting diseases. I ask him to intercede for people who rely on worldly riches, especially those in my family and church. O God, heal their poverty of spirit and help them to discover spiritual treasures that surpass all worldly goods. Instill in their hearts a spirit of generosity, drive out greed, and set them free from materialism so they may experience unity with You. Saint Cajetan, pray for us. Amen.
