Holy Spirit, Saint Alexander Sauli became a bishop in a diocese where faith had died. Clergy and laity knew little about scripture and Church teachings. With the help of three friends, he inspired the people to new faith, corrected abuses, rebuilt broken down churches, and founded colleges and seminaries. His diocese became spiritually alive. I ask him to pray for those in my church and for the people I know whose faith is inactive. O Lord, remind them of their emptiness and stimulate their hunger for spiritual growth. Inspire the faithful to lead them into a greater awareness of Your love. Saint Alexander, pray for us. Amen.

Dear Jesus, Saint Francis Borgia led an easy life as a powerful nobleman with a great marriage. After his wife died, he entered the priesthood. To humble him, his Superior treated him in ways that were opposite of his former life, giving him the hardest work and making him serve all the other priests. I ask him to help me examine how much I like being served and to pray for me and all those I know who have positions of status. O Lord, help us to find pleasure in doing menial tasks for the sake of others. Inspire political leaders to put the needs of the people above their own desire for power and prestige. Saint Francis, pray for us. Amen.
Blessed Redeemer, Saint John Leonardi was a priest who was very active in ministry with a special concern for the youth, the hospitalized, and the imprisoned. He formed a new congregation of priests in honor of the Blessed Mother to increase the fruits of this work. I ask him to pray for the outreach ministries in which I’m involved, that through dedication and Your help, O Lord, my efforts will yield an abundant harvest. Surround me with those who have the same calling. Increase in all Christian ministries the number of people who get involved. Bless outreach programs with sufficient laborers for the field. Saint John, pray for us. Amen.
Holy God, Saint Pelagia the Penitent was an exotic dancer until she heard a sermon about a lewd performer. This sinner, said the homilist, did much to make herself look beautiful but did nothing for Your kingdom. Saint Pelagia confessed her sin, received baptism, and began a new life. She is the patron saint of actresses and other performers, so I ask her to pray for those who combine their talents with immorality. Put loving people into their paths who will lead them to You. Inspire them to entertain with dignity. Help them to become good role models for our youth. O Lord, bring them to Your salvation. Saint Pelagia, pray for us. Amen.
Heavenly King, praying with Our Lady of the Rosary holds more power than I can imagine. It often saved Christian Europe from Muslim invaders. The Blessed Mother taught three children in Fatima that the Rosary obtains special graces for us, saves sinners from Hell, and protects us from evil spirits. I ask Our Lady to accept my prayers into her Immaculate Heart, multiply their power through the greatness of her love, and then carry Your help to those in need. O Jesus, as I turn to Your Mother for support in prayer, bind us to the golden chain of her most holy Rosary, trusting that she will take care of our souls. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Amen.
